思いっきり観光気分です。オベラハウスとシドニーハーバーブリッジ。

I’m totally tourist. Opera house and Sydney harbor bridge.

結婚したて。ラブラブ。Just married!

オペラハウスの近くまで行ったよ。この建物、角度によって見え方が全然違う。建築ってすごいなぁ。アートです。

I went to see Opera house. This building changes its shape depending on angle.

Architecture is art!

オーストラリアには、野生のオウムが生息しています。カワイイぞ！デカイぞ！

そして人を恐れない。観光客の腕にとまったりしてた。

There are wild parrots in Australia. They are really cute, really big!

They are not afraid of people. Beautiful parrots.

今日のライブハウスはMetro Theatreという所。４年前にも来た事があるハコ。

Today’s venue called Metro Theatre. We played here 4 years ago,

近くに“まっぺん”といううどん屋さんがあったので、行って来たよ。

安くておいし〜！ポスターもシブイ。イギリスよりもオーストラリアの方が明らかに日本食や韓国食の比率が高い気がする。イギリスにもあったらなぁ。

There are Japanese Udon restaurant called “Mappen”.

It was cheap and tasty! I wish we have this restaurant in UK.

今日のライブも、大成功でした！本当に良いライブがオーストラリアで出来て嬉しかった。今日のお客さんも最高にノリが良かった。ありがとうシドニー！

Today’s gig was great again! I was so glad we can finally played few good shows in OZ.

People were so into it. Thank you very much Sydney!

Brisbane - ブリスベン

昨日からブリスベンにいます。ホテルからの景色が最高。

We are in Brisbane from last night. It’s great view from the hotel.

ライブハウスはThe Zooという所。

あいにくの雨。ちょっと大雨過ぎてビビった。

The venue called The Zoo.

It’s been raining so heavily, I was bit scared.

サウンドチェック中。sound check.

今日のライブは、やっと良いライブができました！

オーストラリアに来てから、満足のいく出来のライブがなかったから、今日のライブはとっても嬉しかったし、楽しかった！人もそんなに多くはなかったけど、みんな楽しそうに踊って、笑って。そんな感覚がステージまで伝わって来ました。

何でもそうだけど、悪い事があるから良い時の嬉しさって感じるんだなって思いました。ブリスベン、ありがとう！

We had great gig today! We didn’t have great gig since we arrived in OZ, so it was so much fun to play good gig in front of great audience. It wasn’t packed or anything, but it doesn’t matter. I felt audience really enjoying themselves, big smile on their faces.

You appreciate good things more if you have bad experience.

そして今日は2006年に一緒にツアーしたThe Gratesというバンドのメンバーが遊びに来てくれました。久々に会えて、とっても嬉しかった！

Our touring friend back in 2006, The Grates are from Brisbane. They came to see our show, it was nice to see them.

Day off in Townsville - タウンズビルでのお休み

今日はタウンズビルでお休みでした。気温、30度近くで常夏！
We have day off in Townsville, it's really tropical here, about 30 degree.

なんだか恐竜時代を思わせる鳥。The bird has got looks of dinosaur.

アマゾンのジャングルを思わせるような木。真ん中にいるのが私。見えますか？

There are amazing tropical trees everywhere. Can you see me on the middle of this pic?

この木ではターザンができます。ジェイミーターザン。

サムもビーチでリラックス中。Sam is chilling in the beach.

みんなで海で泳ぎました。でもタウンビルの海には猛毒クラゲが生息するらしく、クラゲ網で囲ってある場所でしか泳げません。２キロ半もあるビーチなのに、プールで泳いでる気分でした。でも今年初海泳ぎで楽しかった。

We swam in the sea but there are deadly jelly fish around this area, you can only swim within jelly fish net. This beach is 2 and half kilo meters. It's a shame we can't swim anywhere. We had fun though.

夕方には次の都市、ブリスベンに向かうため空港に行きました。

In the afternoon, we flew to Brisbane. 

飛行機からの眺め、本当に最高。

Groovin the Moo Bendigo and Townsville

今回のオーストラリアツアーはGroovin the Mooというフェス出演がメインで来ています。

このフェスティバルは、都市を変えて同じラインナップでフェスごと移動して行きます。

都市と都市の間が離れまくってるオーストラリアでは、こんな形でのフェスがいろいろあります。メルボルンから車で移動、ベンディゴというフェスが行われる街へ。

We are playing the festival called "Grooving the Moo". This festival happens in 5 cities, same line up.

Australia is a big country,  towns are far away from each other. There are many festival like this, main big one is Big Day Out. We drove from Melbourne to Bendigo.

オーストラリアもロイヤルウェディングの話で持ち切り。

Royal Wedding news everywhere in OZ too.

フェスティバルでは普通サウンドチェックはなく、30分くらいでセッティングしてすべてのラインとマイクが正しいチャンネルに接続されていて、稼働してるかをすべてチェックしなきゃいけないので、時間との戦い。みんなピリピリ。

We don't get any sound check on the festival, we got only 30 mins to set up all the gear and line check.

We have big set up. We are all tense.

ライブはどうだったかというと・・・・忘れたい感じのライブでした。

お客さんは、おそらく15歳から17歳くらいですっごく若い。さらにたくさん人はいるのに、誰ものっていない・・・。辛かった〜。多分、みんな”誰やねん！”みたいに思ってるんだろう。だって、前オーストラリアに来たのは４年前。こういうライブは本当辛い。

I don't really want to talk about how our gig went. There were so many young people there.

probably 15 to 17 years old. There were some board looking people while we played.... I'm sure there were some people enjoying us! there are good gig and bad gig.... it happens! We are probably spoiled by really good audience..... We are so lucky.

次の朝はタウンズビレという街に飛行機で朝早くに向かいました。

Next morning, we left to Townsville early morning.

Groovin the Mooチャーター便。ロックな飛行機。Groovin the Moo charter! Rock airplane.

搭乗口にいる人はみんなアーティスト。All of them are artists on the gate.

タウンスビレに到着。とっても天気！We arrived Townsville. It's really sunny!

タウンスビレでのフェスは、またもやとっても若い子達ばかりで、昨日と同じ感じ。

忘れたいライブでした。

We played the festival in Townsville, there are so many young people. it was better than yesterday but I don't really want to talk about it.

メインステージも、あんまり盛り上がってなかった気がする。

次こそは、良いライブがしたい！もう３本もベストじゃないライブをやった。悔しぃ〜！

We do want to play really good show in OZ, we did 3 shows not at our best, frustrating!

Melbourne - メルボルン／オーストラリア

オーストラリアまで香港経由で行きました。空に浮いてる時間２０時間ちょっと。
We flew from UK to Australia via Hong Kong. We're up in the air for 20 hours or so.

イギリスから香港まで12時間。経由便を待つ間はこんな感じ。
足がむくんで仕方ない時の対処法。
It took 12 hours from UK to Hong Kong, we are waiting for another airplane to OZ in Hong Kong airport. This is how to get rid of your feed getting big on the long flight.

やっと着いた！長かった！We arrived Melbourne, at last!

そして、ちょっとの休憩の後、そのままライブ会場へ。着いたその日にライブです。殺す気か。今日は一般にはアナウンスしてないプライベートのショウ。会場はなんとボーリング場。

We had little rest then went to the venue. Today we play the gig in the private event. The venue is bowling place. We play gig on the same day we arrive, I can't believe how tough we are.

そして、今日は何がすごいかって言ったら、ボーリングレーンのピンが並んでる上のステージでライブ。お客さんがボーリングしてる時にライブ！ありえない。

そんでもって、ボーリングレーンを挟んでるから、お客さんが遠い。とっても遠い。

We were surprised that we play the gig on top of pins. People bowling while we play. 

and audience are far away from us, I don't think they can see us much.

I think energy exchange is important for gigs, but we can't do it today, people are too far away.

そして、ステージは・・・狭い！！！

Stage is ....... really small!!

立つ場所を見つけるだけでやっと。まったく動けない。過去７年で一番狭いステージ。

We struggle to find some space for standing up. We can't move at all.

This stage is smallest we ever been last 7 years.

せっかく、せっかくオーストラリアまで来たから、良いライブをしたかったけど、今までにないステージの狭さと音の悪さで、本当にお客さんには申し訳なかったけど、最悪のライブをやっちまいました。本当に残念だった。無念。悔し〜！

We came all the way from UK to Australia, and we haven't been here for long time so I really really wanted to play good show, but it was bad show for us as we didn't have any space to move and sound on stage was..... oh shocking. I'm sorry for the audience who were there, we really wanted to put good show but..... I was disappointed......

良いライブばっかりじゃないさ！っと吹っ切ろうとしたけど、やっぱり悔し〜！！

Sometime, we have bad show. Not always good show, but I couldn't get over it!!

オーストラリアは、インターネットがつなげる環境があんまりなくて、困っております。

でもできる時にアップして行きます。よろしくお願いします。

There are not much wireless going on in Australia. We are struggling to get internet.
