Leaving to Australia & Japan - オーストラリアと日本へ

今日、オーストラリアへ飛びます。30時間くらいかかる予定です。ヒェー！
オーストラリアへ２週間半、その後は待ちに待った日本です！嬉しい！
日本のみなさん待ってて下さい。アメリカ帰ってからのスーツケースを荷造りし直し中。
誰か荷造りして・・・・。
Today we are flying to Australia. It takes 30 hours or so.... Ouch!
We'll be there for 2 and half weeks then go to my home county Japan! I'm happy.
I unpack US suitcase and packing for OZ, Can you help me please?

San Francisco/ Last day of US tour - サンフランシスコ US最終日

今日は私の大好きなサンフランシスコ！
昨日の夜は４時間睡眠、しかもロスから９時間半も運転でした。アメリカデカすぎ。
Today we drove to San Francisco, I love this town!
I had 4 hours sleep last night and we drove 9 and half hours from LA to there. US is too big.

サンフランシスコは日本と同じ火山帯に位置するため、運転中にとっても奇麗な景色が見れたよ。私の故郷、熊本の阿蘇を思い出す。
San Francisco is on a volcanic zone like Japan, we saw beautiful volcanic land scape when we were driving. It reminds me my home town Kumamoto Japan, there is active volcano called Aso.

アメリカのトラックはカッチョイイ。

American trucks are so cool.

車のCMに出て来るみたいな道をアーロンがひたすら運転。

The road was like on the car advert, Aaron drives non stop.

たくさんの風力発電機がある。日本ももっとやればいいのに。

There are lots of wind power station. Japan should do it lots more.

サウンドチェックの時間に遅れて着いて、すぐサウンドチェック。大好きなサンフランシスコで、何も見れない！

We were late on sound check. I can't see anything in my favorite San Francisco!

今日はアメリカツアー最後の日でした。どうしても良いライブにしたかった。

そしたら、お客さんのノリもすごい良くて，ステージに上って踊っている人もありで、楽しかった！

Today was last show of our US tour. I really wanted have good show.

Then it turned out great show. Great audience! Thank you very much San Francisco!

そして次の朝にはイギリスへの飛行機へと乗りました。

アメリカのツアーマネージャー、アーロンとはこれでお別れ。

いつもの事だけど、一緒に頑張って来たスタッフと別れるのは寂しい・・・・。

短い間だったけど、アーロンありがとう。とっても良い人です。

Next morning, we flew back to UK. We had to say good bye to our US tour manager Aaron.

It's always sad for me to say good bye to our staff. We've been working together for our shows. We're like war buddies. Thanks for all your hard working Aaron! 

If someone need a tour manager or a sound man, I recommend Aaron. He's great.

Thank you very much Aaron, we'll see you soon.

And audience who came to see our show, BIG THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOU!

We didn't expect we have lots of audience waiting for us there. It was really good to play in US.

LA - ロサンゼルス

今日はLAで忙しい１日でした。We had busy day in LA.
朝、LAのFoxスタジオでFuel TVという番組の撮影で２曲演奏してきました。
We played 2 songs in Fuel TV, Fox Studio in the morning.

ツアーマネージャー、アーロンとTommyは仲良し。

裁判官カオリ、アメリカの”離婚調停Divorce court”という番組のセットで。

サムとイアンは傍聴席で裁判に出席。

Sam and Ian are listening to the proceeding in the court room.

スタジオには一般の人が視聴者として来てて、盛り上げ役の人が一人いて、スタジオに来た一般の人に"イエーイ！盛り上がってるかーい！？"的な勢いで無理矢理盛り上げていた。

"気分は服を脱ぐくらいにノリノリで！あっ、でも実際服は脱がないでねー。イエーイ！"というノリで、The Go! Team一同は一気に盛り下がりました。超アメリカっぽかった。

There were around 30 people in the studio for pretend audience when we play. There was a warm up guy in the room, he was cheesiest man I ever seen. "Hey guys, you'll be on the TV, so you can dance and jump whatever you want. Take off the shirt! Oh! but don't actually take it off, mentally take off your shirt! Oh Yeah! Are you ready!?" He warm up fake crowd, but he made the band very cold. Very Hoolywood.

盛り上げ役の人で盛り下がりながらも、２曲無事に終えました。
We rocked pretend crowd despite cheesy man made us cold.

We saw Hollywood letters on Hollywood hill from the car, it's tiny. 

お腹減った。We were hungry.

今日はEchoplexという前もやった事のある会場。その前にはすごいウォールアートがある。

We're playing at Echoplex today. There is very good wall art in front of the venue.

今日も盛り上がってくれました。LA、すごく楽しかった！最後の方にはお客さんがステージに乗って来て、一緒に踊っていました。ありがとうLA!

We had very good show tonight in LA. We had fun! Thank you very much LA! You guys rocked hard!

Day off in LA - ロサンゼルスでのお休み

今日はニューヨークからロサンゼルスに飛びます。

Today we are flying from NY to LA.

ロンドンからニューヨークまで飛行機で７時間。同じアメリカ国内のニューヨークからロサンゼルスまで６時間。アメリカ大陸は大西洋と同じくらいデカいんですかー？

日本出身でイギリスに住んでる私には想像できん。

しかも同じアメリカという国なのに、東海岸と西海岸では時差３時間。ありえん。

It takes 7 hours by airplane from London to NY, from NY to LA is 6 hours. 

Is US as big as north pacific ocean? I'm from Japan and live in London, I can't imagine.

There is 3 hours time difference between west cost and east cost in US. I can't believe it.

ロスに着いた！Arrived LA!

ホテルに到着。今日は待ちに待ったお休みだよ。

We arrived the hotel. We have no gig today, precious day off.

みんなで出かけたよ。We go out together.

ただの観光客。Totally tourist.

アホな観光客。Idiot tourist. 

サンタモニカにみんなで行ったよ。We went Santa Monica.

カッコイイんかカッコ悪いんかわからん自転車に乗ったおじちゃん。

A man on the bike. Probably beach makes him cool but if he's not on the beach, I'm not sure.

リーバイスジーンズが安いから買った。I bought Levi's jeans. It's cheap in here.

ロイヤルウェディングはバンドのみんなは気にしてません。

Are you exited about Royal wedding? We are not at all.

やっとゆっくりできた日でした。必要だった。

We needed dayoff, had nice day.

Brooklyn - NY ブルックリン - ニューヨーク

今日はボストンから４時間かけてまたニューヨークに向かいます。
朝ご飯はホールフーズというオーガニック食品の店。みんなのお気に入り。
Today, we drove 4 hours from Boston to NY. Breakfast from Whole foods, everybody's favorite.

ケーキコーナーも充実。There are nice looking cakes.

Elmo! エルモ！

運転している間になんだか雲行きが怪しくなって来たぞ。

Sky doesn't look good while we were driving. 

ニューヨークに着いた頃には・・・

When we arrived NY..... 

大雨！heavy rain!

今日のライブハウスはBrooklyn Bowlというボーリング場。良い雰囲気のボーリング場。

Today's venue is Brooklyn Bowl. Cool bowling place.

そして、ボーリングレーンの横にライブハウスのスペースがあって、サウンドチェックは一般の人がめっさ見てる前でやった。恥ずかしかった。

There is a gig space next to bowling lane, we had to sound check in public. Embarrassing.

こんだけの人に加えて、さらに写真左でボーリングしてる人がたくさん。

There are this much people and much more people on left hand side who bowling while we were sound checking.

今日のチケットも売り切れ。本当に有り難い。大雨の中、外に列が出来ていた。

ずぶ濡れになる前に早く入れてあげて！

Today's tickets were sold out, really happy about it. There are queue to get in the venue in heavy rain. Please let them in quick coz they are getting wet!

最初はすごく人が多くてちょっとビビったけど、いい感じにライブは進みました。

There were so many people in the room, more than we thought. Gig went well!

しかし・・・・この写真の瞬間・・・

ライブの最後の締めで、バンドメンバーが重なるように上に乗った時に誰かのヒジがヒザがニンジャのみぞおちを思いっきり強打したらしく、ニンジャが動けなくなり、しばらく息もできない状態になって、救急車が来る事態に。

幸い骨が折れたりはしてなくて、大丈夫でした。もう救急車はイヤだ。

But... this moment of the picture, accident happened.

We did pile on end of the show.

Ninja says "Ended up in hospital after Brooklyn show. A band member body-slammed me in the ribs! (All in the name of rock) Thought I had a punctured lung. X-rays showed no broken bones but I'm still sore. Spent the night in a Manhattan A&E with Sam and kept expecting an actor from Gray's Anatomy to walk past. It happened on stage and I think the crowd thought it was part of the show. Nuff scary."

No more Ambulance for The Go! Team.
